VELAMMAL HOSTS AN AWARENESS TALK ON OVERRIDING EFFECTS OF ONLINE GAMES & SOCIAL MEDIA

Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus organised an awareness program on Overriding Effects of Online games and Social Media on
14th October, 2022 for the students of Std 6 to Std 8 in the CNR Hall of Excellence.
This awareness program was aimed at highlighting the threats of  social media and online games. The Chief Guest Ms. Prasanna Alagaswamy, Content Head ,Eskimo Social Media Factory, Anchor – Rajbhavan presided over by talking about the negative impacts of various social media apps  . The students were guided about the risks of social media usage. They were also briefed  about the negative impacts of Online games, Social Media addictions and the increase in cyber crimes against teenagers.

Students pledged to use Social Media  safely and limit online gaming to prevent addiction.

This was an initiative towards Children’s Day Celebration to educate them to differentiate between the real world and the fantasy world and curtail the use of social media.
