VELAMMAL EXCELS IN KARATE
Miss Bhavatharini CJ, Std 7 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus, had participated in the Challengers Cup South India level Open Karate Championship and edged her name in the 1st position for Individual Kata in Color Belt, 11 to 12 yrs age group category held at Santhome Hr. Sec. School (Montfort Indoor Stadium), Mylapore, Chennai recently.
This National level event was organised by Katsu – Kai Shito Ryu Sports Karate DO Academy, India, wherein as many as 1500 karatekas
registered their presence at the championship from different states.
She clinched 24.5/25 points on the scoreboard further qualifying her for the International level.
